Sunday 16th May saw me,Doddy and Wiggy ride to Harrogate to meet most of the Harrogate lads and lasses for the ride to Bradford. It was a dry but breezy ride to The Hare and Hounds pub to meet up for the YSA's 2nd rideout of the year. Bradford Phoenix S.C. along with Baildon S.C. were the hosts for this one and when we arrived at 12-30 the car park was already jam packed and the road side was getting pretty full too (we should have been there earlier but Doddy's Vespa/Lambretta chop rat scoot thing decided to lose it's engine bolt nut!!, luckily Wayne managed to find one in Spuds tool box, cheers mate).
After a quick walk round to meet folks and get some pics it was 12-55 and almost time to ride so I headed back to my scoot on the road side only to see Nigel Martyn (ex LUFC goalie) driving past with his son looking at all the scoots.
1pm and we're about ready for off with the marshals heading the pack off we go. The ride saw us take in some lovely West Yorkshire scenery on the 15 or so mile trip and albeit a steady ride it was a nice one and well marshaled. There was the odd break down as ever including a couple of Harrogate guys who had just filled up at Morrisons petrol station and yes dodgy fuel was to blame (beware fokls this seems to be happening more and more, not good when you pay top dollar for it!!)
We arrived at Baildon after about 40 mins and got parked up so we could have a walk round and get some more pics and have a look at the stalls and sign on at the YSA stall with our membership cards. The usual banter was being had by most folks enjoying the day and the enjoying the live music.
Once again another great show of scooters/folks for a YSA rideout and plenty of good craic to be had along the way.
Well done to Bradford Phoenix and Baildon scooter clubs for a well organised day, cheers lads n lasses.
