 THE RALLY IN HEERJANSDAM Minimize

This year we have moved the Allied Invasion to a new and exciting venue at Heerjansdam FC - just across the road from the old site at the Ice Rink. Getting there from the Europort couldn't be easier. The journey is exactly 40.0km, and takes around 30 minutes.

Route from Rotterdam Europort to Heerjansdam

So, when you get there, what's happening? where can we go?

Heerjansdam is a small village. There is a Spar supermarket, A Chinese Restaurant, A Cafe. Some Dutch people. Oh, and a Pub. The football ground is of a high semi pro standard and the facilities are excellent, with Showers and toilets aplenty, a Cafe, Bar and a great venue overall for the fun and frolics to follow.

Friday 18th June

Friday is generally a fairly laid back day with music playing through the day. Some may choose to take a train from the local station into Rotterdam centre or Amsterdam to sample the culture. This is very easy, and information will be provided by the Dutch Lions on arrival to assist.

For the Football fans - no need to worry that you will be missing out on the World Cup - the Lions are providing a Big Screen Telly, and on friday at 8 30pm (GMT) England will be playing Algeria. Straight after that we will be enjoying a live set from the mighty Red Star, who will also be screening for the first time the Video to their soon to be released single "Frenzy" - produced in conjunction with the YSA and featuring some top scooters and Yorkshire Scooterists!

The party will continue until late with music from both Dutch and English DJs spinnning the tunes that you know and love!

Saturday 19th June

When you have fully recovered from the previous nights festivities, it will be time to pop your helmet on and kick up your machine for the fantastic rideout. This will leave the site at 1130 prompt, and will take you through the beautiful Dutch countryside, and the Maas Tunnel (an experience not to be missed!)

Stopping off at a village pub for refreshements, and returning to the Rally site in time for......

At 1330 The Netherlands will play Japan in Durban, and you can offer your support to the Dutch guys on the big screen along with the lions!

Next on the Agenda is Fun and Games with the Scooter Gymkhana which is well worth a go or at least a laugh if last years event is anything to go by!

Scooter tunes from a mixed bag of DJs again will be topped off by a lively performance from YSA favourites the Finnlys from Leeds making in their second Allied Invasion appearance.

The night going on into the small hours until we all drop! Parrrrrttttyyyyyyy!
